Where I Belong

I belong in vast expanse
In the openness of your plan;
Not where walls crush me down
Or shadows take my hand.

Break this prison of my vision
Strip me of my shame;
Call me from horizons breath
And speak in me my name.

Shower me and wash me clean
Of times unsightly dust;
Peal the layers of my sin
Soften my hearts crust.

I take a step on lighted path
Far from alienation;
I honor truth as my Guide
And proclaim my destination.
